Retracio

Terms of use

These terms apply to the site at this domain and to the beta version of the Retracio desktop app, which goes out to people on the waitlist. Both are provided by Retracio, and using either means you accept these terms.

Scope

The terms cover your use of the site, the waitlist form, and every build of the app that carries a beta label. They do not cover the LLM provider or any other service the app connects to on your behalf. Those services have their own terms.

Beta software

The app is in beta. It is provided as is, without a warranty of any kind, for the duration of the beta. During that period the app is free of charge.

Beta builds change between releases. Features may be added, altered, or removed, and a build may stop working with a later version of a framework, browser, or operating system. Retracio may end the beta or withdraw a build without notice.

Review every generated file before you commit it.

Your API key and third-party services

The app generates tests by calling Anthropic through an API key that you provide. The key and the account behind it are yours. Every request the app makes with that key is covered by the agreement between you and Anthropic.

Any cost the provider charges for those requests is yours. The app shows the token count for each generated test and does not add a charge of its own. Retracio does not hold, store, or have access to your key or your provider account.

If the provider suspends the key or changes its terms, the app may stop generating tests until you supply a working key.

Ownership of generated code

Tests that the app generates from your manual runs and your repository belong to you. The output is a plain test file written into the folder you choose, with no import, plugin, or runtime that depends on the app. You may edit, license, and distribute those files as you see fit, and they keep working if you uninstall the app.

The app itself, its interface, and this site remain the property of Retracio. These terms grant a right to use the app during the beta, not ownership of it.

Acceptable use

You may use the app to record manual runs against web applications you are authorized to test and to generate tests for repositories you are authorized to change. Do not use it to record sessions on services you have no permission to test, to collect credentials or personal data from other people, or to circumvent access controls. Do not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the app.

Liability

Retracio does not guarantee that a generated test is correct, complete, or suitable for your purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Retracio is not liable for loss of data, loss of revenue, downtime, or other indirect damage that arises from using the site or the app, including damage caused by a generated test committed without review. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent the law allows.

Changes

Retracio may revise these terms when the app, the site, or the beta program changes. The current version is always the one published at this address, and the date below shows when it was last revised. Continuing to use the app after a revision means you accept the revised terms.
